Panel Basics

Getting around your GamePanel.

How do I log in and access my server?
GamePanel: Visit panel.lemonhosting.eu with your email and password. You'll see a list of your servers. Click any server to access the console, files, databases, and settings.
Billing Area: Visit billing.lemonhosting.eu to upgrade plans, manage payments, and add subusers.
How do I start, stop, or restart my server?
In your panel, look for the power button in the top-right or the console section. Click "Start" to boot the server, "Stop" to shut it down, or "Restart" for a clean reboot. Starting usually takes 5-10 seconds.
Where do I see my server logs and console?
The "Console" tab shows real-time server output. You can scroll through history, search for errors, and type commands directly. This is where you'll see crash messages, player joins/leaves, and plugin output.
How do I upload a pre-built world?
In the Files tab, navigate to the root folder. If you have a world ZIP file, upload it there, then extract it. Rename the extracted folder to match your server.properties "level-name" setting. Restart to load the world.
Install & Switch

Add plugins, modpacks, or change versions instantly.

How do I install a modpack or server software?
Use the "Installers" feature in your panel. Click the installer icon and browse available modpacks (CurseForge, Modrinth) or server software (Paper, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge). Select and install—this sets up everything automatically. Takes 30 seconds to a few minutes.
Can I switch versions without losing my world?
Yes. Use the version switcher to change between Paper, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, or Minecraft versions. Your world and player data stays intact. Just be aware that major version changes (1.19 → 1.20) may require world backup first.
How do I add plugins manually?
In the Files tab, go to the "plugins" folder and upload your .jar files. Restart the server. The console will show plugin load messages. If a plugin doesn't load, check for errors—usually missing dependencies or Java version issues.
What's the difference between Paper, Fabric, and Forge?
Paper: Best for vanilla + plugins (survival, economy). Fabric/Forge: For modpacks. Paper has better performance for pure vanilla. Pick based on whether you want plugins (Paper) or mods (Fabric/Forge).
Lag & Performance

Keep your server smooth and fast.

My server lags. What should I check first?
In console, check TPS (should be 20.0). Look at RAM usage—if over 90%, you need more memory. Review recent plugins added. Disable new/unused plugins one by one to find lag sources. If it's still slow, ask support.
How much RAM do I actually need?
Vanilla/Light Plugins: 4-6GB (Stone). Moderate: 8GB (Iron). Heavy Plugins/Modpacks: 12GB (Gold). Very Heavy (30+ mod packs): 16GB+ (Diamond/Netherite). Allocate 2-3GB to Java, the rest to system. More players = more RAM needed.
What's 17 TBS DDoS protection and do I need to do anything?
It's automatic. Every plan includes 17 terabit-per-second DDoS filtering that silently blocks attacks before they reach your server. You don't need to enable or configure anything—it just works. You won't notice attacks happening because they're filtered out.
How do I know if someone is attacking my server?
Signs: Sudden TPS drops, console spam with connection attempts, players can't join but console looks fine. Check the real-time graph in your panel—a sudden bandwidth spike during the lag is a sign. Don't worry—DDoS protection handles it automatically.
Troubleshooting

Fix common issues.

My server keeps crashing. What do I do?
Check the crash log in console. Common causes: (1) Out of memory—upgrade RAM in billing panel. (2) Plugin conflict—disable the last plugin added, restart, see if it stabilizes. (3) Bad modpack—check all mods match your Minecraft version. Send the full crash log to Discord support if stuck.
Players can't connect. Server works for me.
Check: (1) Correct IP and port in launcher (look in your panel). (2) Server is running (console should show "Done"). (3) Try from a different network/VPN to rule out ISP blocking. (4) If others can't join but you can, it's probably a firewall or ISP issue on their end. Ask them to try a VPN.
I installed a modpack but it won't start.
Check console for the actual error. Common: (1) Not enough RAM—check your plan and upgrade if needed. (2) Mod version mismatch—make sure all mods match your Minecraft version. (3) Missing dependency mods—download the full modpack, not individual mods. Restart after fixes.
Server runs fine solo but lags with players.
You likely need more RAM or your plugins are inefficient. Upgrade to the next plan and see if it fixes it. Or disable plugins one at a time to find the culprit. Ask support to run a performance profile (Spark) to pinpoint the issue.
Migrate & Upgrade

Move to LemonHosting or grow your server.

Can you migrate my server from another host?
Yes. If your plan is Gold or higher, it's free and included. Lower plans can request paid migration. Contact us on Discord with your old host details. We handle worlds, plugins, databases, and configs. Takes 2-6 hours depending on world size.
I want to upgrade my plan. Will I lose my files?
No. Upgrades are instant and keep everything. Your world, plugins, databases, settings—all untouched. New limits (RAM, storage) apply immediately. Consider taking a manual backup first, but upgrades are 100% safe.
How do I take a backup of my server?
In your panel, go to Backups and click "Create Backup." Takes a few seconds to a minute depending on world size. You'll get a downloadable ZIP file with everything. Store it somewhere safe. You can restore any backup with one click.
I'm downgrading my plan. What happens to my data?
All your data stays. Downgrade happens at your renewal date. If your new plan has less storage, you'll get a warning. Just make sure your server size fits. Example: Downgrading from Gold (80GB) to Stone (30GB) needs a 50GB world cleanup first.
Billing & Account

Manage your subscription.

How do I renew my server before it expires?
Log into billing.lemonhosting.eu. You'll see "Renewal" or "Due Soon" status. Click to renew early anytime. Automatic renewal is on by default—so as long as your payment method stays valid, your server auto-renews every month/year. Reminders go out at 30, 14, and 7 days before expiration.
Can I upgrade from Stone to Gold mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades are instant in the billing panel. You'll pay a prorated amount for the remaining days at the higher rate. Your server keeps running the whole time with zero downtime.
I have a voucher code. How do I use it?
In the billing panel, look for "Add Credit" or "Voucher" option. Enter your code—it adds balance to your account or applies a discount to your next renewal. Balance can be used for renewals, upgrades, or new servers.
What happens if my server expires?
Grace period is 7 days. Server stays online but won't restart if you stop it. After 7 days, the server is deleted. Renew anytime during grace period to restore full access. If past 7 days, contact support—we can sometimes recover it.
